Fast Boats

There are now a whole host of different companies operating fast boats running daily trips between Bali and the Gilis.  There is the Gili Cat, Blue Water Safaris, Redline Express, Bounty Cruises, to name a few.  Below is some general information about the trips. You can book directly with most of the companies by sending them an email or if you want to sort out all your travel, diving and accommodation in one go then we will be happy to make the arrangements for you.  We only book with the most reliable, on time, and safety conscious companies.

Most of the companies have a number of boats that seat about 30 passengers undercover.  The boats are new, well maintained and most stick to western safety standards.

Gili Cat - If you are after as short a boat ride as possible then the Gili Cat is the best option.  Typically you will be picked up from your hotel in Bali at around 7:00am and transferred by mini bus to Pandang Bai harbour on the Sounth East coast of Bali. This takes about an hour and a half. The boat then departs at 9:30am and arrives on Gili Trawangan about an hour later.

For the return journey departure time from Gili Trawangan is 11:00am so you should be back at your hotel in Bali, Kuta area by about 14:00.

Blue Water Safaris - This fast boat service leaves from Serangan Harbour which is close to Kuta.  The crossing is longer than with the Gili Cat but the total journey time is about the same.  The boat departs from Serangan at about 7:30am.
